Rapid COVID-19 Antigen Testing

Patients may be able to receive an on-site rapid antigen test that typically provides results within one hour. This test is used to rapidly detect active COVID-19 infections in patients, including recent variants that have been identified. Khatali only utilizes FDA Approved antigen testing kits and all tests are administered by a licensed medical professional. Tests are performed on-site and results are sent directly to the patient via a secure notification platform.

RT-PCR COVID-19 Testing

Patients may also be able to request a PCR test on-site at one of our contracted locations. Khatali uses nasal or saliva specimens to ensure a patient-friendly experience. Specimen types are collected at the direction of the state, city, or county with which Khatali is contracted. All specimens are delivered to a laboratory for analysis. Results are typically available within 48 -72 hours once the lab receives the specimen.

RT-PCR Tests utilized are approved under an FDA Emergency Use Authorizations for the detection of SARS-CoV-2. These forms of testing can detect active infections with a higher degree of sensitivity. These tests take longer to process due to the use of more sophisticated machinery. Once the laboratory processes and validates a specimen, the result is sent directly to the patient via a secure notification platform.

Insurance Notification

Insurance companies may provide reimbursement for COVID-19 services. While on-site we will ask you for your insurance information. This is a federal requirement. If you do have insurance, all services will be provided to you at no additional out-of-pocket costs. If you do not have insurance, other coverage options may be available to you at no additional costs.

For billing purposes. Khatali bills $49.00 for an antigen test.
